Project: Retouching visuals and Brochure
Brief: We’ve been involved in Laurence Project since 2001 when she decides to create a tour exhibition of one hundred photographs of women from any background, any age, any shapes linked by long red fabrics made especially by Afghan women in Belgium. Our role was to colour, the black and white photography, with the red fabric making it even more vibrant, and emphasizing its symbolism of string attached between all women. Her last request was to design a brochure presenting not only this project, but also her work as an artist.
Solution: We proposed the creation of an A3 brochure folded in 4 (similar to a map), except opening like a book and actually concluding in a poster size exhibiting her latest work. In addition, we advised on the text correction adapting it fully to the pictures displayed. Now her work presentation is eye-catching, inventive and thoroughly personalized.
